HVAC for commercial buildings

Repair, maintenance and replacement for rooftop package units, split systems and the ductwork that runs off them.

Commercial equipment works harder and fails at worse moments than a house system: a rooftop unit that quits on a full restaurant, a tenant space that never gets comfortable, a building owner planning a replacement before it becomes a rushed one.

We look at the system on site before pricing anything. You get the scope and the price in writing, and the work gets scheduled around how the building runs.

Rooftop package units carry the whole system in one cabinet, with an economizer that brings in outside air when it is cooler than inside. They fail stuck open, which floods the space with hot air in August, or stuck closed, which does nothing and nobody notices. A scheduled check catches both.

What to expect

How the visit goes

Call and describe the building and the equipment: rooftop package units, split systems and the ductwork that runs off them. A technician inspects the system on site before anything is priced.

You get the scope and the price in writing. If a unit is worth repairing, we repair it. If it is not, we say so and price the replacement in writing as well.

The work is scheduled around how the building runs. We are open 6am to 10pm, seven days. Our labor carries a one-year warranty, plus the manufacturer's warranty on parts and equipment.

Good to know

Before you call

  • What a rooftop check covers

The same refrigerant, electrical and airflow checks as a house system, plus the economizer damper and the roof-curb ductwork where it meets the building. The data plate gets photographed so the model, serial and refrigerant are on file. Read more

  • Small buildings, several units

A four-tenant strip building usually has four to six package units; a small office two or three. Each one runs on its own thermostat and schedule, so the check confirms the schedule matches the tenant's hours. Read more

  • The economizer

Many commercial units in California have one. A technician cycles it and confirms the damper moves and the sensor works, because a stuck one wastes energy quietly for months. Read more

  • Heating section before winter

Burners, ignition, flame sensor, heat exchanger and gas pressure on gas units get checked before the first cold week, the same way a house furnace does. Read more

  • Scheduled, not surprised

Tell us the equipment and how hard the building runs it, and the visits go on a schedule that fits the tenants' hours. A rooftop unit that fails on a full restaurant on a Saturday is the call nobody wants.
